1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use Steady, a pelvic floor exercise trainer and diary for men, on Android. Steady is provided by Pending: legal entity name and postal address, called "we" in these terms.

By using Steady you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how Steady handles data. It is linked from Steady's Google Play listing and published at Pending: privacy policy URL.

2. What Steady is, and what it is not

Steady is a personal exercise trainer and diary. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for consulting a qualified healthcare professional. If you have symptoms or health concerns, please speak with your doctor.

Steady times your exercise sessions, records the sessions you finish, and shows your streak and history. It does not assess or interpret your health.

Exercise at your own pace. If an exercise causes pain or discomfort, stop and speak with a qualified healthcare professional.

3. Who can use Steady

  • Steady is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
  • You do not need an account. There is no sign-up and no login.

4. Your training history

Steady stores your sessions, streak and settings only on your phone. Your training history stays on this phone: it is excluded from Android cloud backup.

This means we do not have a copy and cannot restore it. If you clear the app's data, uninstall the app, reset your phone or lose it, your history is gone. The Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.

5. Free and Pro

  • The Beginner plan is free, with no time limit and no trial. You never need to pay to use it.
  • Steady Pro unlocks the Intermediate and Advanced plans.
  • We may change which plans are free or part of Pro over time (section 8).

6. Buying Pro through Google Play

6.1 How you buy

You buy Pro through Google Play, with the Google account you use in the Play Store. Google processes the payment. We never receive your card or bank details. Google Play's own terms also apply to the purchase.

Pro is offered in two ways:

  • a subscription, billed monthly or yearly, with a free trial for Google accounts that Google Play finds eligible (section 6.2); or
  • a one-time ("lifetime") purchase, paid once (section 6.5).

Before you confirm, Steady and Google Play show you the price in your local currency, the billing period and, for a subscription, whether a free trial applies. The price and terms Google Play shows when you confirm are the ones that apply to your purchase.

If a payment is still being processed (for example, with some cash or bank payment methods), Pro unlocks only once Google Play reports that the payment is complete.

Your purchase is linked to your Google account, not to a Steady account (there is none).

6.2 Free trial

  • A subscription may start with a 7-day free trial. Google Play decides whether your Google account is eligible, for example if you have had a trial of Steady Pro before, and shows the trial and the date of the first payment before you confirm.
  • You are not charged during the trial. When the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged the price shown, unless you cancelled before the trial ended.
  • If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged, and Pro stays available until the trial ends.

6.3 Renewal

  • A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (each month or each year) and Google Play charges the price for the next period, until you cancel it.
  • If Google Play cannot take a renewal payment, it tells you and may try again for a limited time. Update your payment method in Google Play to keep Pro. If the payment is not fixed, the subscription ends and Pro is removed. The free Beginner plan keeps working.

6.4 Cancelling a subscription

  • You can cancel at any time in Google Play: in the Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, choose Steady and tap Cancel subscription. Steady also has a Change or cancel in Google Play link that opens the same page.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not refund the current period (refunds: section 6.7).
  • Uninstalling Steady does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in Google Play as well.
  • Steady has no account, so the app cannot find or cancel your subscription for you. If you cannot cancel in Google Play, contact us (section 12) with the order number from Google Play's receipt email.

6.5 One-time ("lifetime") purchase

  • A one-time purchase is paid once and does not renew.
  • "Lifetime" means for as long as we offer Steady on Google Play and Google Play supports the purchase. It does not depend on any later subscription.
  • Buying the one-time purchase does not cancel a subscription you already have. Cancel the subscription in Google Play (section 6.4) so it does not renew.

6.6 Price changes

  • We set prices in Google Play and may change them for new purchases at any time.
  • We will not change the price of a subscription period you have already paid for. If we change the price of an existing subscription, Google Play tells you before the new price applies, under its price-change process. Where Google Play asks you to accept a new price and you do not, your subscription ends at the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • A price change never affects a one-time purchase you have already made.

6.7 Refunds

  • Purchases follow Google Play's refund policies: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637. Shortly after a purchase, you may be able to request a refund directly in Google Play (in the Play Store app, Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history, or on Google Play's website).
  • After that, or if Google Play does not offer you a refund, contact us (section 12) and include the order number from Google Play's receipt email (it starts with "GPA."). We do not need any other details. Where Google Play and the law allow it, we can refund a purchase from our side.
  • Nothing in this section limits a right to a refund or cancellation that you have under consumer law.
  • A refunded purchase no longer entitles you to Pro. The free Beginner plan keeps working.

6.8 Restoring purchases

  • Pro follows your Google account, not this phone. If you reinstall Steady, or install it on a new phone signed in to the Play Store with the same Google account, Steady checks Google Play and unlocks Pro again. You can also tap Restore purchases in Steady to check right away.
  • Restoring brings back Pro only. Your training history is stored only on your old phone and is not restored with a purchase (section 4).
  • When Steady cannot reach Google Play, it uses the last state it saw on this phone, for up to 7 days after the last successful check. After that, Pro plans wait until Google Play can be reached again. Your training history and the free Beginner plan keep working.

7. Fair use

Please use Steady for your own personal use. Do not:

  • copy, resell or redistribute the app;
  • change the app, or get around its purchase checks, to unlock Pro without paying;
  • use Steady in a way that breaks the law.

8. Changes to Steady

We improve Steady over time and may add, change or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what Pro includes, we will say so in advance in the release notes on Google Play.

9. Our responsibility to you

  • We work to keep Steady reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be free of errors.
  • Steady stores your history only on your phone, so we are not responsible for history lost when the app's data is cleared, the app is uninstalled, or the phone is reset, lost or damaged.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

10. Governing law and disputes

Pending: governing law and the competent courts or dispute body, decided by a human or lawyer.

11. Changes to these terms

We publish every new version with a new "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we also say so in the release notes on Google Play before they take effect.
