How each part of the Steady app works: your first session, Steady 28, reminders, the widget, pocket mode, your routines and settings.
Using Steady
- How does my streak work?
Your streak counts the days in a row on which you finished at least one session. History adds all-time totals and a calendar of the days with a session.
- How does Steady 28 work?
Steady 28 is a fixed 28-day plan: one short session a day in four weeks. Days 1 to 7 are free, days 8 to 28 are part of Steady Pro.
- How to add the Steady widget to your home screen
The free widget shows your next Steady 28 day and your streak; one tap opens that day's session. A discreet option shows only Steady · today's session.
- How to do it: the squeeze, step by step
Plain steps for each squeeze, two things to avoid, and a 3-squeeze practice that isn't recorded. In first-run step 2 and in Settings, How to do it.
- How to do your first session
Go through four short first-run steps, start Steady 28 day 1 and follow the Squeeze, Hold and Relax cues. A session counts when its last round ends.
- How to make your own routine
With Steady Pro, save up to 10 routines with your own squeeze, hold and relax times and number of rounds. They're stored on this phone only.
- How to set daily reminders
Add up to three daily reminders in Settings, each with its own time and your own text. The default text is Time for your Steady session.
- How to use pocket mode
Pocket mode plays vibration cues only, so you can follow a session with the screen off. Turn it on in Settings, then start a session as usual.
- What's in Settings
Settings holds the cue, voice and pocket mode switches, How to do it, reminders, the theme, privacy and widget options, Steady Pro and the notice.
No account, privacy and Pro
- Do I need an account to use Steady?
